Nostalgic Santa

The craft show I participated in is finally over and I had time to go out and play today with my friend Pat. We visited one of our favorite paper spots in Kirkwood where they had on display beautiful old postcards made into posters as well as in smaller form on cardstock.   I was inspired by their display to do this card.  It is not stamped - it instead has a copy of a postcard, that I made smaller, that belonged to my grandmother.  (From what I can tell in checking the internet, card images like this before 1923 are public domain)  I embossed the red cs with my CB and used a little gold behind the image with a few gold embellishments in the corners.  I have a few other postcards that she saved that I hope to make some more cards with - The card gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I look at it.

  1. Well Sherry, we have a lot in common. There's just something about the southwest ;) I too, love southwest images/stamps and have just purchased some beautiful stamps from Terry Medaris, a Phoenix artist both in fine arts, jewelry, and now stamps. His pencil work is beyond beautiful. I've taken a peek at your blog site and have enjoyed looking at all your creations. Please keep in touch ;)
