Last weekend I colored up 8 Tim Holtz Crazy dogs for a set of cards (I still need to get pics and post them) - THIS WEEKEND I couldn't resist the sale at Lori Whitlock and purchased an SVG Christmas Dog Pop Up Box card, if you know me you know I can't resist making 3-D cards. After downloading the file to my SIL I wanted to use my own creative touch for the card. Whenever I am creating one of these styles of card I prefer the print and cut method versus the cut layers of colored paper....it just has a more finished look to me - so I made some changes to the dog, tree, and gift that were a part of the file. To the dog I added a little pink tongue, I decorated the tree with some bones and snowflakes, and the gift was totally changed using a gift die from another Lori Whitlock file I own.......I also used the holly from that file in place of the snowflakes in the SVG I purchased.
To the hat of the dog I applied Ranger Stickles....and the ears and tail of the dog have Black Wink of Stella, while the white snow glistens with sparkly clear Wink of Stella (hard to see in the photos) Additionally, I used some Diamond Glaze on the eyes and nose of the puppy....it makes them just stand out nicely.
This card is just to stinkin' cute - While I had great fun coloring and inking up my stamps last weekend, this weekend creating a few 3-D cards was just crazy fun - I love to play on my Silhouette Cameo. I can't wait until Christmas to get this little fella in the mail. Thanks for stopping by!
My card with all the changes I made.
